Spokane County Jail placed on lockdown after weapon found in bathroom
Spokane police officers responded to the Spokane County Jail Wednesday morning after jail staff found a pellet gun in a restroom.
Police spokesman Cpl. Jordan Ferguson said jail staff requested help from police officers around 10 a.m. No other suspicious items or evidence of a threat to the jail was found, he said.
The jail was placed on a lockdown, which should be lifted at 1 p.m. Regular afternoon visiting hours will go on as scheduled, Ferguson said.
