Free tax help available
Residents who worked and made less than $53,505 in 2015 may qualify to have their taxes done for free.
Depending on family circumstances, some may qualify for Earned Income Tax Credit and extra money back.
The service is offered between Feb. 1 and April 15 at nine different libraries and community centers, as well as at United Way and Medical Lake City Hall. It’s sponsored by the Spokane CASH Coalition, which is organized by Spokane County United Way and involves local businesses, financial institutions, government agencies, service providers and community organizations.
