Nicholas Knapton, P.S. has hired Kristi Crooks as a bookkeeper and assistant, Viktoriya Shea as a bookkeeper and support staff and Joe Engel as a staff accountant. Previously, Crooks was with the Northwest District Church of the Nazarene, Shea was with Coins Plus Inc. and Engel was with UTC Aerospace Systems.

Heiskell MacGillivray & Associates, PS has changed its name to HMA CPA, PS and announced that Laura Hays has become a shareholder. Hays was previously a senior manager at the firm.

Engineering

Jack Butler has joined Stantec as a survey manager. Butler has more than 30 years of experience in his field with both public and private clients. He is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, National Society of Professional Surveyors, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and the American Wind Energy Association.

Finance

Adam King has joined Wells Fargo’s Business Banking team in Spokane as a senior business relationship manager. King has six years of experience in financial services and previously served as a commercial banker.

Spokane Teachers Credit Union has named Laura Wood as vice president of human resources and organizational development. Wood was previously the director of human resources at the credit union since 1998.

Health care

The Spokane Pharmacy Association has announced the recipients of the organization’s annual outstanding achievement awards as follows: Stephanie Lind of Washington State University, Student of the Year Award; Ben Hoffman of Valley Hospital, Technician of the Year Award; Casey Blair of CHAS, Pharmacist of the Year Award; Hart and Dilatush Pharmacy, Pharmacy of the Year Award. The association also announced the board of directors as follows: Chris Greer, immediate past president; Landa Vierra, president; Kendra Demaris, president-elect; Sue Kellogg, executive vice president; John Griffith, treasurer; Cheri Lewis, technician representative; Mira Kim and Brittany Croy, student representatives. Other members of the board are: Eleanor Carbett Doss and Chris Barry, PQAC contacts; Julie Akers, WSU/WSPA representative; Heather Homchick, annual meeting chair; Brett Haney, C.E. Chair; Natasha Heimbigner and Anna Mucker, new members. In addition, Lori Maricle serves as the organization’s Web administrator.

Hospitality

AAA has named The Davenport Grand to the list of AAA Four Diamond Hotels during the hotel’s first year of business. AAA Diamond ratings are determined by in-person property evaluations by professional inspectors.

Law

Douglas, Eden, Phillips, DeRuyter & Stanyer, P.S. has promoted Diane Kiepe to principal. Kiepe practices wills, trusts, probate and tax law. In addition, Erick Kukuk has joined the firm as an associate. Kukuk practices corporate transactions, securities and real estate law.

Andrews Lagasse Branch & Bell LLP has named Kelly D. Folger as a partner based in the firm’s Spokane office. Folger joined the firm in 2008 as an associate in the San Diego office. Her practice focuses on employment, general liability and professional liability.

Manufacturing

Percussionaire Inc. has named Mark Baillie as the company’s chief executive officer. Baillie previously served as general manager.

Laura Hilbert has joined DeVries Moving-Packing-Storage as a relocation resource partner.

Tourism

Amy Cabe has been named a recipient of the Event Service Professionals Association’s (ESPA) President’s Award in recognition of her support and enthusiasm for the association. Cabe is the director of Convention Services at Visit Spokane and currently serves as second vice president on the ESPA board of directors.
