Detectives investigate body found near Cataldo, Idaho

Officials in Kootenai County are investigating a body found Saturday near Cataldo, Idaho.

The body was found along the side of a road in the area of East Canyon Road and East Hardy Loop, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded about 3:50 p.m. Saturday and confirmed the person was deceased. Detectives from the sheriff’s investigations division are conducting the investigation.

Canyon Road was blocked near Hardy Loop and was to remain closed until midday Sunday.
