Pub crawl supports history group
The Spokane Preservation Advocates organization is holding its third annual pub crawl and tour of historic buildings on Saturday.
About 75 people attended the first two pub crawls, which provide a fun way for people to support historic preservation.
The event is expanding this year, and organizers are hoping for more participants.
The event will start at 3 p.m. at Hills’ Restaurant & Lounge, 401 W. Main Ave., which will be a kind of headquarters for the rolling tour. Hills’ will also be the site of a closing party from 7 to 8 p.m.
Registration is $25 for walk ups at Hills’ on Saturday and $20 in advance from the SPA website at spokanepreservation.org/.
Proceeds from the SPA Pints & Pours for Preservation event will go toward the efforts of SPA.
The self-guided tour will take in restaurants, bars, breweries and wine tasting roomsin historic downtown buildings.
Food and drink specials will be available at each establishment and Spokane Party Trolley will provide shuttle rides on a loop to all of the locations, said Ann Kienholz Jurcevich, co-chair of the event.
Other venues are Durkins, Gilded Unicorn, Left Bank Wine Bar, Liberty Building, Nectar Tasting Room, Orlison Brewing Co., Patit Creek Cellars, Rain, Steam Plant Brewing Co., Tamarack Public House and Sante.
Raffles, games and tour guide information will be included.
