Papa John went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 26th after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born January 8, 1947 in Spokane, Washington and was the oldest of six children.
John graduated from Gonzaga Prep, High School, went on to a year of college but decided the Army would be a better fit in 1966.
He was fortunate to serve three years in the Netherlands and during that time married his high school sweetheart.
They made the rest of their life in Spokane.
John is survived by his wife Patty of 49 years; his five children, Jack and Sindy Couch, Jerry and Donna Couch, Jenny and Mike Jackson, Judy and Matt Gores, Joey and Jason Reed, and 16 grandchildren, as well as two sisters, three brothers and numerous other relatives.
John considered his children and grandchildren his greatest blessings and loved them all dearly.
A Life Celebration will be held for John at 1:00p.m.
on Friday, March 18th at Summit Church, 1801 E. 29th.
A light reception will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family would request donations be made to the Union Gospel Mission or to the charity of your choice.
