WILSON, Jack
(Age 92)

Passed peacefully at Touchmark on March 4, 2016.

Jack was a lifelong resident of Spokane, WA.

Born August 4, 1923 to Olive and Harland Wilson.

He was the youngest of nine children.

Jack attended North Central High School.

In 1943, he married his lifelong sweetheart, Mary Jane, of 72 years.

At 19 he went into construction with his father.

In 1948 Jack and brother Lowell formed “Wilson Brothers Construction,” building many family homes, duplexes, and 1,200 unit apartments, including the Lincoln Garden Terrace.

Jack enjoyed hunting, boating, snowmobiling, and many family trips.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; sister Margaret O’Hare; eight of his nine children: Carol (Dick) Green, Pauline (Terry) Marienau, John Wilson, Bernice (Larry) Ackerman, Alice (Doug) Shafer, Dick (Deanna) Wilson, Teresa (Greg) Zeiler, and Ken (Doreen) Wilson; 25 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Janie (Whiting); daughter-in-law Mary (Wilson); his brother, and six of his sisters.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, March 10 from 10am to 6pm followed by a Rosary at 7pm at Hennessey Funeral Home (2203 N. Division).

His Funeral Mass will be on Friday, March 11 at 10 am at St. Peter Catholic Church (3520 E. 18th).

Burial will follow at 1 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery (7200 N. Wall).
