Bob was born August 11, 1924 on the family farm near Latah, WA.
He passed away peacefully on March 26, 2016 at Good Samaritan, Spokane Valley, where he received excellent care.
He attended school in Latah, WA and graduated in 1943.
He was in 4H and played trumpet in the high school band.
He lettered four years in basketball, played baseball and served as stage manager for some plays.
Bob was in the Navy from October 1944 to June 1946 serving at Farragut, ID, Norfolk, VA, and Hawaii.
Bob and Vera were married January 1, 1947 and celebrated 69 years in January.
Bob worked at Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood for 36 years until retirement in 1983.
He enjoyed working in the yard and garden.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Vera Mae Bippes; sons Roger Bippes (Joyce) and Stanley Bippes (Tammie); grandchildren: Joshua Bippes, Matthew Bippes, Brian Bippes; seven great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Anna Bippes; brothers: Arnie, Bill, Francis; and sisters: Evelyn, Lily and Bernice.
Services will be held Saturday April 2, 2016 at East Valley Presbyterian Church, 5305 N. Harvard Rd., Otis Orchards, WA at 2:30 pm.
