Gene Alan Vick, 69, passed away in the company of family and friends at his home in Sonoma last Friday, April 29.

Born in Spokane, Washington and raised throughout the Pacific Northwest, Gene was an ironworker in Local 377 (San Francisco) for over 20 years before being elected and serving as Business Agent, Business Manager, and Trustee for 18 years.

He then went on to reorganize and manage the Ironworkers’ Apprenticeship Program and spearhead the Ironworkers’ Workers Compensation Program.

When he was not serving his fellow ironworkers, Gene could be found running Carriger Road and cycling throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

More recently, he enjoyed visiting and relaxing in northern Idaho.

Gene will be dearly missed and is survived by his wife, Jocelyn, his son Benjamin, and his daughter Maren.
