Woman dies in rollover crash on Nevada Street

A woman was killed when the SUV in which she was a passenger rolled in a T-bone crash at the intersection of Nevada Street and Garland Avenue just after 3 p.m. Saturday.

The SUV came to rest on its passenger side in the right northbound lane of Nevada, while the smaller car that crashed into the SUV was facing east on Garland Avenue just east of Nevada. The woman was partially ejected and pinned under the SUV, Spokane police Officer Ron Van Tassel said.

The man driving the SUV and a baby riding in the vehicle were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the car was not injured, Van Tassel said.

Further details were not available. The crash is being investigated by Major Crimes detectives.
