By Dana Hedgpeth Washington Post

It is happy holidays early for someone in Tennessee.

The winning ticket for Saturday’s $403 million Powerball game was sold in Lafayette, Tennessee, population about 5,000, and about 60 miles northeast of Nashville.

The winning numbers were 17, 19, 21, 37, 44. The Powerball number was 16 and the Power Play number was 2.

The winner has yet to publicly come forward. The jackpot ranks as the ninth-largest Powerball prize in the game’s history.

The jackpot grew after no one won the Powerball game Wednesday so it rolled over.

There were other million-dollar winners in Saturday’s drawing.

A ticket worth $2 million that matched the first five numbers and the Power Play number was sold in North Carolina, according to USAToday.com. And winning $1 million tickets were sold in Pennsylvania and Minnesota.

The chances of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million. The game is played in 44 states and Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Washington D.C.
