Voice and 911 service cut to about 6,500 CenturyLink customers in Eastern Washington, restoration expected by 10 p.m.
A fiber line was accidentally cut in Medical Lake at 11 a.m. Monday, disrupting voice service – including 911 – to about 6,500 people in Eastern Washington, CenturyLink said in a news release.
The outage also affected more than 9,000 CenturyLink internet customers.
Emergency, voice and internet services are down in Medical Lake, Ritzville, Davenport, Wilbur and communities along Highway 2 including Reardan, Edwall, Sprague, Odessa, Coulee City and Lind.
Internet services only are down in Connell, Chewelah and Kettle Falls.
Crews were working on the line and expected to restore all services by 10 p.m., the company said in a news release.
