Man dies in crash north of Chewelah

A man died early Saturday morning after his truck went off State Route 395 five miles north of Chewelah.

Conner L. Farnsworth, 20, was driving his GMC pickup south on the highway around 1:47 a.m. when he failed to make a left curve, according to the Washington State Patrol. He truck went into the ditch and hit a power pole before coming to a stop on its top.

No one else was in the truck. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
