From staff reports

Snow fell on Spokane this morning for the first time in two weeks.

The National Weather Service recorded 0.3 inches of snow at the Spokane International Airport, said Bryce Williams, meteorologist.

The low overnight was 33 degrees and the snow hasn’t been sticking to many roadways. The last time snow fell in Spokane was March 27. But that was only a trace, Williams said. The last time the weather service recorded measurable snow was March 9 when 0.4 inches fell.

Snow in Spokane in April is not unusual. The latest the weather service in Spokane has recorded a measurable amount of snow was May 21, Williams said. That was in 2007.

Monday’s snow should be the last of the snow for at least several days.

Tuesday is expected to be sunny, followed by a few days of rain.
