Spokane County Sheriff’s Office investigators seize eight firearms, stolen property in early-morning SWAT raid

From staff reports

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office detectives and SWAT team members seized eight firearms, including a sawed-off 10-gauge shotgun, during a SWAT raid early Tuesday morning in Spokane.

It happened at the home of 39-year-old Lawrence T. Brown, a convicted felon, who lives in the 2500 block of North Perry Street, a sheriff’s office news release states.

Brown was in the unlawful possession of the firearms and other property connected to an investigation that encompasses “at least seven reported incidents committed throughout the City of Spokane, Spokane Valley and Spokane County and involved several victims,” according to the release.

Connected to the investigation was 29-year-old Rachel P. Ward-White, who was arrested last December for attempting to steal a purse from a shopping cart with the woman standing right next to it in a Goodwill store in Spokane Valley, the release says.
