Recaps for the Seattle Mariners top affiliates for Thursday night provided by team releases.

Albuquerque 12, Tacoma (AAA) 8

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.The Tacoma Rainiers (10-8) offense couldn’t keep up in a 12-8 loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes (9-10) on Monday night at Isotopes Ballpark.

Left fielder Tyler O’Neill finished the night 3 for 5 with two runs, one home run, two doubles, two RBI, and one walk. It was the first three-hit game of O’Neill’s Triple-A career. Center fielder Boog Powell chipped in with a four-hit performance, going 4 for 5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Tacoma set a new season-high mark in hits with 16.

Tacoma starting pitcher Rafael Pineda, making his first career Triple-A start, allowed five runs on five hits over 2/3 innings of work. He walked one, struck out one, and allowed one home run. The Rainiers bullpen combined to allow seven runs on 12 hits while issuing five walks with five strikeouts.

The Rainiers will send left-hander Dillon Overton (1-0, 8.44) to the mound as Tacoma and Albuquerque wrap up their series on Tuesday. The Isotopes have not yet named a starter. First pitch is scheduled for 10:05 a.m.

Tulsa 8, Arkansas (AA) 1

TULSA, Okla.The Tulsa Drillers pulled away late for an 8-1 win over the Arkansas Travelers on Monday night in the opener of a four game series.

Chuck Taylor led off the third with a triple (his second hit of the night) and then came in to score on Tyler Marlette’s groundout. But that would be in for the Travs on the night as they left a total of eight runners on went hitless (0 for 8) with runners in scoring position. Taylor was the bright spot offensively for Arkansas going 2 for 3 with a double, triple and a walk.

Max Povse (3-1) took his first loss of the season in the start for the Travs. The 6-foot-8 right-hander pitched six innings but was charged with four runs (two coming in his last inning) on seven hits. He struck out three and walked three.

Game two of the series comes up Tuesday night in Tulsa at 7:05 p.m. Right-hander Dylan Unsworth (0-1, 5.40) makes his second start of the year in Double-A against righty Isaac Anderson (0-2, 8.74) for Tulsa.

Inland Empire 9, Modesto (High-A) 4

MODESTO, Calif. After an early strike the Modesto Nuts were unable to hold a lead in a 9-4 loss to the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino on Monday night at John Thurman Field.

Ricky Eusebio started things for the Nuts (11-7) with a two-run homer in the first off 66ers’ (7-11) starter Jose Rodriguez (W, 1-2).

In the next half inning, Anthony Misiewciz (L, 0-1) gave up the lead when Jose Rojas lined a RBI double and Brandon Sanger whacked a RBI single.

Joey Curletta gave the Nuts the lead back when he recorded a RBI single in the third. Curletta finished 3 for 3 with three singles on the night. That was all the Nuts would get off Rodriguez who worked six innings and allowed just three runs on six hits.

Matt Walker threw well out of the Nuts ‘pen to finish the game working 2 1/3 innings without giving up a hit and walking one.

Game two of a four-game series against the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino is Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m.

Beloit 10, Clinton (Low-A) 7

BELOIT, Wisc. – The most runs scored in an inning this season was not enough for the Clinton LumberKings who fell 10-7 to the Beloit Snappers on Monday night at Pohlman Field. The LumberKings (8-10) rallied for five runs in the ninth inning but could not overcome the three home runs from the Snappers (8-10).

Clinton took the first lead of the night with two runs in the first inning. Luis Rengifo drew a two-out walk to begin the first inning rally. A wild pitch, error, another walk, and Joe Rizzo RBI single combined to give the LumberKings an early 2-0 lead.

The LumberKings offense was quieted until the ninth. Clinton batted around for the first time this season scoring five times to pull to within three runs. Nick Zammarelli drove home the first run of the rally with a single to center. Rayder Ascanio and Rizzo each followed with RBI hits. Rizzo matched a career high for hits going 4 for 5 with a double and two RBI.

Brandon Miller started for the LumberKings and took his second loss of the season, snapping a streak of two consecutive wins.

The LumberKings will play game two of the three-game series with the Snappers on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. LHP Timm Viehoff (0-1, 4.05) will get the start for Clinton and face Beloit’s RHP Michael Murray (0-0, 3.29).
