Somebody Needs You

The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.

The list of requests is coordinated by the Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane. If you have an item to donate, please contact the social service agency directly. Donors who can deliver items are especially appreciated. If someone you know needs help, contact a local social service agency provider.

A 71-year-old disabled woman with low income and no family support needs two 12-volt 22NF gel cell batteries for an older Nutron R 51 LX, 18-inch, 350-watt wheelchair. She also seeks someone who is qualified to replace the old batteries with the new ones. Her insurance no longer will cover service on the wheelchair model. A 58-year-old disabled woman who recently moved to the area seeks a full-size bed. Contact Jessica Prouty of Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington at (509) 458-2509, ext. 271.
