Fire destroyed a house near Fish Lake Regional Park southeast of Spokane on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters from Spokane County Fire District 3 were called to 13808 S. Spotted Road at about 5 a.m. A neighbor driving by apparently noticed the fire and called 911, reported KHQ News.

Debby Dodson, spokeswoman for Fire District 3, said the home was a double-wide manufactured house that was either unoccupied or abandoned.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

By 7:30 a.m., firefighters were still mopping up hotspots, a fire district spokesperson said.
