Gonzaga’s Karnowski finalist for Abdul-Jabbar Award

Gonzaga’s Przemek Karnowski was named one of 10 finalists Friday for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award presented to the top center in college basketball.
Karnowski is averaging 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He’s shooting 61.3 percent for the season and a WCC-leading 70.1 percent in conference. He averages 2.2 assists and nearly a block per game.
The list of finalists includes Saint Mary’s Jock Landale, BYU’s Eric Mika and Washington State’s Josh Hawkinson.
