All three of of Washington State’s three main east-west mountain passes were reopened Friday afternoon after lengthy closures.

All lanes of I-90 going over Snoqualmie Pass reopened late Friday morning.

Earlier in the day the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 were open while the westbound lanes remained closed, due to standing water, slides and debris brought down by avalanche control.

Stevens Pass was closed from U.S. Highway 2 milepost 58 to milepost 99 at the west end of Leavenworth due to high avalanche danger. White Pass on U.S. Highway 12 also was closed in both directions due multiple snow slides. Westbound traffic was stopped at milepost 183 near Oak Creek and the eastbound traffic was stopped at milepost 138, near state Route 123.

The Washington State Department of Transportation reported “several collisions” on I-90 westbound Friday afternoon near Easton and Cle Elum, slowing traffic and causing an estimated 90-minute delay.
