Architecture

NAC Architecture has promoted nine employees within their Spokane office. Jack Schneider has been promoted to associate principal and manages the electrical engineering department in Spokane. He is working on Spokane Community College’s Main Building renovation and Selah, Washington’s aquatic center.

Angela Bishop, Jill Kurtz, Jon St. Pierre and Chad Schmidt have been promoted to senior associate. Bishop is an architect who is working on the old Macy’s Building renovation. Kurtz, an architect, has been working on the Providence Fairfax Behavioral Health Hospital in Spokane and the Kootenai Health Phase Two Surgery/Emergency Department in Coeur d’Alene. St. Pierre, in addition to working on the Fairfax Behavioral Health Hospital, has been working on a new high school in Quincy as a member of the electrical engineering group at NAC. Schmidt, an architect, is also working on Spokane’s Macy’s Building renovation as well as the Spokane Arena renovations.

Mark Chouinard, Jeff Hyslop, Aileen Link and Lauren Scranton have been promoted to associate. Chouinard has been working on modernizing the Quincy junior high school as well as the Macy’s Building renovation in Spokane as an architectural drafter. Hyslop, a designer, has been focused on Spokane Community College’s Main Building renovation and Bellevue College’s new residence hall. Link, an interior designer, is working on the Missoula International School and the Kootenai Health Phase Two Surgery/Emergency Department in Coeur d’Alene. Scranton’s role at NAC as Knowledge and Innovation Leader is to stay current on education research to work with educators to create personalized learning environments for students.

Education

Darryl K. Potyk, M.D., has been announced as Chief of Medical Education for the University of Washington School of Medicine-Gonzaga University Regional Health Partnership. Dr. Potyk has been the Assistant Clinical Dean for Spokane at the UW School of Medicine for the last four years and has been a faculty member since 1994. In his new position, Dr. Potyk will lead operation of the school as well as its expansion in Eastern Washington, UWSOM’s medical education, and working with student volunteer activities.

Engineering

DCI Engineers have announced three hires to the firm’s Spokane office. Jeff Arneberg has been hired as a senior project manager and has 37 years in the industry. He specializes in structural and mechanical engineering, especially with cranes and hoists, and is working on platform designs for the framing systems and cranes for an industrial building. Aubrey Canfield is contributing designs for the Decatur Storage project in Spokane after being hired as a project engineer. Her focus will be on high-quality design for residential and commercial projects. Alesha Huson has been hired as a structural CAD designer and has worked on office, commercial, hospitality, residential, government and aviation projects in her career. She is working on the South Wing Renovation of Spokane Community College.

Information Technology

TierPoint LLC has announced Dick Weisberg has been named regional vice president. Weisberg, who lives in Seattle, will lead the TierPoint’s Pacific Northwest region, including its Spokane data center to best use the company’s cloud solutions, security services and other IT services.
