Man allegedly broke into Spokane Valley business for money to go ‘somewhere that didn’t have snow’

From staff reports

In the “we know how you feel” department, a man broke into a Spokane Valley business and told sheriff’s deputies he wanted money to buy a bus ticket to “somewhere that didn’t have snow.”

Jonah S. Edera, 39, told a deputy he used a wooden pallet to break the business’s glass door early Monday. Edera was inside the business in the 200 block of South Vista Road when deputies arrived, according to a news release.

Deputies took Edera into custody without incident and booked into Spokane County Jail on a burglary charge.
