The Dirt: JC Wright Lighting moving into new downtown HQ building

JC Wright Lighting Sales is building a $1.3 million corporate headquarters just east of downtown Spokane.

Ginno Construction of Idaho, the contractor, will construct JC Wright’s two-story, 10,200-square-foot office and warehouse facility at 413 E. Third Ave. The site is being developed by a holding company, Rock on 3rd LLC, held by JC Wright owner Doug Wright and his wife, Cathy.

With expected completion of the building in December, the business will relocate from its current site on Trent Avenue.

The company represents 70 lighting manufacturers, according to its website. It has handled lighting systems for many regional projects, including recent ones for Kalispel Golf and Country Club, Wapato High School and McEuen Park.

Residential care home

slated for Valley

Plans call for construction of a 6,650-square-foot, 16-bed residential care group home in Spokane Valley along University Road.

With an estimated project valuation of nearly $870,000, the project is called Main Residential Care, at 122 N. University Road. The project owner is University Pro Building LLC, of Liberty Lake.

According to a Washington state Department of Health review, the listed facility administrator would be Unified Residential Care, with an estimated date of occupancy by Oct. 1.

Conservation district

buys property

The Spokane Conservation District recently purchased property for $1.2 million that was formerly occupied by a Spokane Rock Products facility at 4418 E. Eighth Ave. in Spokane Valley.

The transaction included a 7,000-square-foot office building and 50 acres of land. The conservation district said property cleanup and development plans are underway, which need to occur before a move of its administrative offices.
