Wanted: A few good zombies – ‘Z Nation’ holding auditions
If you’ve ever wanted to shuffle and stumble around Spokane while groaning about your desire for brains, now’s your chance. The “Z Nation” show is looking for zombie extras for their upcoming fourth season, which will be filmed in Spokane this summer.
Anyone over 18 can audition this weekend at the Museum of Arts and Culture, 2316 W. First Ave. People should show up in their street clothes with no make-up and are advised to practice their “zombie walking and running.” The crew is reportedly looking for zombies with “unique” styles.
The show anticipates hiring 2,000 zombie extras, who are paid $90 a day plus lunch.
Those who have previously worked on the show as zombie extras should show up Saturday from 9-10 a.m. or 1-2 p.m. or Sunday from 10-11 a.m. or 2-3 p.m. New auditioners can arrive Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon, 2-4 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. as well as Sunday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 3-5 p.m.
Auditioners should enter the MAC via the lower entrance on Riverside Avenue. The auditions will be held in the museum’s outdoor amphitheater.
