Matthew Peterson and Mary Cooper have been hired by Coeur d’Alene’s Magnuson, McHugh and Company. Peterson has been a CPA since 2010 and has spent more than 10 years in the accounting industry. He joins the firm as a tax services manager. Cooper has been hired as a manager of retirement plan services. She worked as a retirement plan administrator with Powers Stromberg Pension Consulting, Inc. for 26 years before being hired at Magnuson, McHugh and Company.
Architecture
Bernardo|Wills Architects has announced the promotions of Dell Hatch to Principal and David Hipp, Charles Horgan, Mike Stanicar and J. Ryan Zane to Associate Principal. Hatch has focused on design, planning and landscape architecture for parks, recreational complexes, sports and athletic facilities, schools and streetscapes, including Coeur d’Alene’s McEuen Park and Spokane Valley’s Appleway Trail. Hipp is working on the BCT Complex, a housing complex at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the Washington State Department of Transportation North Central Region Administration Facility in Wenatchee, and focuses mainly on military, commercial and retail projects. Horgan designs K-12 schools and is working on Summit School’s expansion for Central Valley School District and the NEWTECH Skill Center modernization for Spokane Public Schools. Stanicar has worked on the Children’s Choice Dental Building and Regal Plaza in Spokane and focuses on retail, office, financial, medical and dental facilities and development master planning. Zane’s portfolio includes Newport Hospital & Health Services remodel, Coeur d’Alene’s North Idaho Dermatology Medical Office Building and Cancer Care Northwest.
Banking
INB has announced a number of new hires and promotions. Chris Cornell has been promoted to manager of INB’s downtown branch after four years with INB and 15 years of banking experience. Tris Bendickson Kellogg has been hired as INB’s new training manager. Kellogg most recently trained employees at another financial institution and managed a bank branch for 11 years. Dan Barrington has been hired as the manager of the Northside INB with 11 years of experience as a branch manager at another financial institution. New Business Solutions Operations Manager Shelbie Rabe has been promoted from project manager after a year and a half at INB. Jessica Gardner has been promoted from teller to deposit operations supervisor. Downtown INB Manager of five years Nicole Melcher has been promoted to operations coordinator.
Community Services
Embassy Management, LLC, a provider of services for those with developmental disabilities and autism, has announced Robert Efford as their new CEO. Efford, the organization’s president, previously worked as vice president of operations for The Mentor Network. While president at Embassy, Efford has expanded the group’s reach to include residential customers within the Department of Corrections and worked to expand existing services to new states.

The California Board of Legal Specialization has certified Peter E. Moye as a legal specialist in estate planning, trust and probate. Moye is a member at Witherspoon Brajcich McPhee, PLLC.

Hanna & Associates Inc., of Coeur d’Alene, has hired four new employees. Lisa Aitken has joined as an account executive after working as the community relations coordinator at Kootenai Health and as national marketing manager with Pita Pit U.S.A. Graphic designer Jacquie Masterson comes to Hanna from the WSU College of Nursing, where she was senior designer. New Digital Media Manager Sam Morris has 10 years of business management experience and has certifications in Google AdWords and Google Analytics. Samantha Charlton has two years of marketing experience and joins Hanna as traffic controller.

Post Falls’ Rehabilitation Hospital of the Northwest has been ranked in the top 10 percent of inpatient rehabilitation facilities nationwide for the third years in a row. The Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation, a nonprofit maintaining the world’s largest database for rehabilitation, selected the top facilities from 781 rehabilitation hospitals across the country.
Therapy
Tucker’s Canine Therapy Foundation recently opened on Spokane’s South Hill, offering physical therapy and hydrotherapy for dogs. Tucker’s provides complimentary services for military, search and rescue and police working dogs.
Utilities
Rob Lindsay has been promoted to Spokane County Environmental Services’ water programs manager. Lindsay has worked for Spokane County since 2004 and is a registered hydrogeologist in the state of Washington. Lindsay previously worked as an environmental engineering consultant in the western U.S. and Alaska.
