Architecture

MMEC Architecture & Interiors has announced three promotions within the firm. Jennifer Cox has been promoted to Principal from Business Manager and has been with MMEC since 1999. Project Architects Heidi Pierce and Boyd Lusarreta have been promoted to Principal. Pierce has been with MMEC since 2004 and Lusarreta since 2008.

Collegiate Athletics

Nancy Swanger has been named Washington State University’s new faculty athletic representative. Swanger will continue as associate dean and director of WSU’s School of Hospitality Management and associate professor at the Carson College of Business through her tenure as representative. She will be one of WSU’s four representatives to both the Pac-12 conference and the NCAA while overseeing athletic academic integrity and maintaining institutional control of the University’s intercollegiate athletics.

Health

David Robinson of Advanced Health Chiropractic and Massage has earned the highest certification available in the field of traumatology by the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. Traumatology studies the forces and impacts of trauma and effective treatment of the trauma. Dr. Robinson specializes in whiplash injuries, generally caused by low-speed vehicle accidents.

Post Falls Kootenai Prosthetics and Orthotics has hired Daniel Daley, C.P.O., as a certified prosthetist orthotist. Daley has worked in private practice in Seattle and for the V.A. Center for Excellence for Limb Loss Prevention and Prosthetic Engineering as a research prosthetist.

Hospitality

The Coeur d’Alene Resort has named three new members to the resort’s management team. Todd Gillespie has been named director of sales and marketing and is a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry, representing Destination Hotels at Skamania Lodge near Portland, Oregon, and The Ocean Reef Club, the world’s largest private club, in the Florida Keys. Taylor Fore is the resort’s new local corporate and golf sales manager. He comes to The Coeur d’Alene Resort from the University of Idaho’s Coeur d’Alene campus, where he oversaw fundraising efforts. John Malee has been named conference services manager. Malee previously worked as general manager of Cedar’s Floating Restaurant, worked on Anthony’s Home Port restaurant’s pre-opening team and was owner and operator of Fedora’s Pub and Grill.
