Custom chopper disappeared from Spokane Valley parking lot
A noisy custom chopper disappeared silently from a Spokane Valley parking lot Friday and the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office wants some help finding it.
The motorcycle, a bright red 2007 Backyard Custom Sport Chopper, was parked in the 12300 block of East Desmet Avenue and vanished sometime between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. that day. The bike’s owner told deputies that the bike is very heavy and idles at over 170 decibels, but no one heard the motorcycle leave and no one saw anyone pushing it away, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
The chopper has a L.A. Choppers style single spring seat, a black Jolly Rancher flag on the gas tank and “Made in the U.S.A.” written on the rear fender. It is one of 64 made and valued at over $47,000.
Anyone with information about the theft or the motorcycle’s location is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
