Woman found in South Hill dumpster died from smoke inhalation, medical examiner rules
The body found in a dumpster on Friday near the Goodwill store on the South Hill has was identified Wednesday by the Spokane Medical Examiner as 28-year-old Tunishia Martin.
Martin, 28, died from smoke inhalation, according to the examiner’s report. Her death was ruled as an accident.
The Spokane Police Department is investigating Martin’s death.
“That’s just a piece of the investigation,” Spokane Police spokesman Josh Laiva said of the medical examiner’s report. “More information will come out as the investigation goes on.”
Martin’s family has set up a page to help fund her funeral expenses.
