Spokane Police find missing shooting victim
Spokane police are investigating a shooting that happened near the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Lee Street Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called but could not find a victim when they arrived, said police spokesman Officer Josh Laiva. A man with a gunshot wound that wasn’t life-threatening later turned up at a local hospital.
Witnesses said that a car pulled up next to another car, a person got out of one car and shot a gun inside the other car, Laiva said. The victim told police the shooting involved three black men driving a silver newer car.
The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident with no threat to the public, Laiva said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
