Spokane Public Library is seeking public comments on facility improvements

The Spokane Public Library will hold a series of open house events to gather citizen comments on facility improvements.

The events will be: Wednesday at the downtown Library; April 19, Shadle Library; April 25, Indian Trail Library; April 26, Hillyard Library; April 30, East Side Library; and May 2, South Hill Library.

The open house events will be 4-6 p.m. Town hall meetings will follow at 7-8:30 p.m. Citizens may comment on programs, possible expansions, new buildings and long-term goals of the library system.

“We are excited to move into the next phase of design work to reimagine the 21st Century Library and build upon our future study conducted in 2015,” executive director Andrew Chanse said in a news release.
