Pedestrian killed when struck by car in east Spokane

A man was killed Tuesday evening when he was struck by a car in the East Central Neighborhood.

Officers were called to Third Avenue and Perry Street about 9:30 p.m., Spokane police said in a news release. The pedestrian died at the scene. The woman driving the car was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Police did not release details of the crash, but said it remains under investigation.
