New LGBTQ seniors group to meet

A new group for LGBTQ seniors is scheduled to host its first meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at Unitarian Universalist Church, 4340 W. Fort George Wright Drive in Spokane.

Nancy Avery, who scheduled the event, called it a “meet and greet.” She said while there are several senior lesbian groups in town, there are currently none for LGBTQ seniors.

A Facebook page entitled Spokane LGBT Seniors has been created.
