Weekend weather: Winter conditions to continue over region

Cold, winter-like weather will continue through the end of this week and into the weekend. Up to 3 inches of snow could fall in the Spokane area, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service reports that it will be mostly sunny on Thursday with a high near 33 degrees. Thursday night will also be clear with a low of 11 degrees.

On Friday there is a 20 percent chance of snow after 10 a.m. The National Weather Service anticipates a high of 31 degrees. Friday night there is a a 50 percent chance of snow with a low around 26 degrees. Up to 1 inch of new snow is possible.

Saturday there is a 30 percent chance of snow with a high near 39 degrees. Between 1 and 2 inches of new snow could accumulate.

More snow is expected Saturday night with a low around 24 degrees. Sunday there is a 30 percent chance of snow, with partly sunny skies and a high of 41 degrees.
