The Glenrose trailhead, 3701 S. Thierman Road in the Dishman Hills Natural Area, is closed as Spokane County starts trailhead construction.

Plans for the trail include overflow and emergency parking, paving the entire parking lot, extending power underground for a light post and additional landscaping in an effort to address neighbor privacy concerns, according to a news release.

Once completed the trailhead will feature 20 parking stalls. The work is expected to cost $330,000 and is funded through the Real Estate Excise Tax and the Conservation Futures Maintenance and Operations fund.

Construction is expected to last through August. Trailheads at Camp Caro, Stevens Creek and Iller Creek will remain open.
