Comcast has restored most of its internet and cable service following an outage that affected customers coast-to-coast on Friday.

The outage was caused by two separate and unrelated fiber cuts to the company’s network backbone providers, according to the company’s Twitter account.

“Our engineers worked to address the issue immediately and services are now being restored to business and residential internet, video and voice customers,” the company said in a statement. “We apologize to anyone who was impacted.”

Downdetector.com, a website that tracks internet outages in real-time, received more than 11,000 reports of outages from Comcast customers on the East Coast, Colorado and California.

Customers in Spokane, Seattle and Portland also had reported outages.
