Man killed in north Spokane shooting

A man was killed Thursday night in a shooting that police believe occurred in north Spokane.

Police were called to the 800-block of E. Hoffman Avenue about 8:30 p.m. when someone heard a gunshot, Spokane police said in a news release.

Soon after, a car arrived at Providence Holy Family Hospital with a deceased man inside. The same car had been seen driving “hastily” near where the shot was heard, police said. The driver of the car was interviewed, but no information on a suspect was released Thursday night.
