Shooting suspect Christopher Felch arrested Tuesday morning by SWAT team, U.S. Marshals
Spokane Police arrested a man Tuesday suspected in last week’s West Central shooting that left one man with a wounded foot.
Christopher Felch, 47, was jailed at about 3:30 a.m., according to the inmate roster. He is being charged with two counts of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon. His bail is set at $250,000.
The U.S. Marshals Service and Spokane police collaborated on the arrest near 6900 North Altamont Street. A SWAT team arrested Felch without incident, and no one was harmed, according to a news release.
Josh Reimers told The Spokesman-Review last week that Felch fired nine rounds at him and his neighbor at their 2018 W. Broadway Ave. apartment complex on Thursday. Reimers said Felch had been upset he was dating his ex-girlfriend and Felch had been harassing them for days before the shooting.
Felch has an extensive criminal record, including leading police on a car chase in 2004. At the time, police said he pointed a gun at officers, who then shot Felch multiple times. Felch did not fire his weapon.
