What have we become?

How can it be? Our country, the so-called leader of the free world, “the melting pot,” is taking innocent children away from their mothers and fathers at the border.

Forget the atrocities of waterboarding and other torture we deem unlawful, this is by far an extreme torture of these children and their families that will leave them all scarred and trauma-stricken for the rest of their lives. How in any way can we condone this? This separation is atrocious by any standards!

As a father and citizen I implore us all to regain our moral compass and let our lawmakers know this is by no means who we are and we will not tolerate it!
