Man in custody after shooting kills one in Royal City, 20 miles east of Vantage

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting homicide in the small town of Royal City, 20 miles east of Vantage on state Highway 26.

Kyle Foreman, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said the shooting occurred at a home around midnight. Foreman said it does not appear the shooting was domestic-violence related.

A man was arrested in connection with the shooting. The victim is also a man.
