Grizzlies Fall 74-55 in Tournament Rematch With Michigan
Montana’s basketball season came to a close Thursday night with a 74-55 defeat at the hands of Michigan in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. It marks the second straight year that the Grizzlies lost to the Wolverines at the Big Dance to end their campaign.
No.2 seed Michigan led by 13 points at halftime and No. 15 seed Montana was never able to get closer than eight points in the second half. The Wolverines now advance to play Florida in the round of 32 on Saturday.
Sayeed Pridgett led Montana with 17 points on the night. The Grizzlies fell behind big right out of the gates after the Grizzlies misfired on 13 of their first 16 attempts from the floor.
Montana ends their season with a 26-9 record after advancing to their fifth NCAA Tournament in the last 10 years.
