Interstate 90 crash kills Pinehurst 18-year-old
A Pinehurst, Idaho, man is dead following a one-car crash on Interstate 90 near Kellogg.
Colten A. Holzheu, 18, was one of three passengers in a car that struck a guardrail Saturday near milepost 51.7, according to a news release from the Idaho State Police. The car was headed westbound when the driver, Ryan R. Rodriguez, 18, of Wallace, Idaho, lost control of the car at about 9:32 p.m.
Other passengers in the red 2001 Toyota Echo were Austin S. Mcintosh, 18, of Spokane, and Eric A. Hull, 20, of Smelterville, Idaho, the release said.
Holzheu was ejected from the vehicle, the release said.
The investigation is ongoing and the state patrol has not yet determined if the occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
