Chargers Adjust To Tournament Site Change

The Great Falls Chargers come into this week’s Legion Ball State AA Tournament as the seventh seed, and face additional challenges with the tournament on the horizon.
With the tournament moving from Helena to Billings, the Chargers will now have to change their plans with the tournament schedule, meaning overnight stays in Billings versus a quick hour and a half trip to Helena. The team will also be having to leave a day early to prepare for their 4 PM matchup on Wednesday with the Helena Senators. Here’s what Chargers head coach Tony Forster had to say about the adjustments his team will be making, and what extra preparations they’ll make for this week
“With Billings, we gotta find hotel rooms and stuff like that so we’re actually going to go down Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday evening just because it is a little bit of a trip so we’re gonna go down a day earlier, whereas if it was in Helena, we would just go obviously on Wednesday and we would’ve had the night game so we just would’ve had Wednesday afternoon to head down to Helena but you know it changes things a little bit but these guys, a lot of these guys played in the state tournament in Billings so they kind of know what to expect going down…..Dehler’s a really nice park, it’s a very nice pro park, very spacious, very big, so that’s why we’re out here at centene today, kinda get to work on some defensive stuff in a bigger ballpark and just make sure we’re ready to play there.” Said Forster.
