Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories CEO launches podcast

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories CEO Dave Whitehead has a launched a new podcast that explores topics affecting the electric power industry.

In each episode of Schweitzer Drive, Whitehead interviews inventors, entrepreneurs and subject matter experts, some of whom are from SEL, the electric power industry, businesses and academia, according to a company news release.

The podcast’s first season covers a variety of topics, including supply chain management, measuring the state of the power system, getting lights on after a blackout and creating value for customers.

The podcast also includes several interviews with Edmund Schweitzer III, SEL founder, president and chief technology officer , on topics such as cybersecurity, innovation and free enterprise. There will also be a two-part episode with Schweitzer detailing how he launched SEL and his invention of the first microprocessor-based digital relay.
