Spokane police respond to false alarm of bomb at West Central home
Spokane police determined an electronic device located by a West Central landlord Thursday morning that looked like a bomb was not an explosive.
Numerous police officers responded to a home near West Gardner Avenue and North Maple Street just after 11 a.m., when a landlord reported finding a device that looked like a pipe bomb, according to police Sgt. Terry Preuninger.
Gardner Avenue was closed while police investigated.
A bomb technician X-rayed the device and determined it was not an explosive, Preuninger said at about 1:45 p.m. That concluded the police response.
