A teenager was hospitalized Monday after falling about 20 feet in the rocky Bowl and Pitcher area of Riverside State Park.

KHQ reported Spokane Fire Department crews used ropes and pulleys to hoist the boy up an embankment.

They strapped him to a gurney and wheeled him along a trail to a waiting ambulance shortly before 4 p.m.

It wasn’t immediately clear how the boy fell. He was accompanied by friends at the park. KHQ reported his injuries were not life-threatening.
