BRIEFS for Tuesday

Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s Sky House has temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post Friday, Sky House said the employee, who was asymptomatic, learned of the coronavirus infection after taking a precautionary test.

The employee last worked July 21, according to the Facebook post.

Sky House, which closed Saturday, is following recommended guidance of the Panhandle Health District, testing all staff members, conducting contract tracing and performing a deep clean of the facility, said Dig Chrismer, Schweitzer Mountain Resort spokeswoman.

Sky House will reopen “as soon as it is safe to do so,” it said in the Facebook Post.

Other facilities at the resort were not impacted and remain open, Chrismer said.
