Spokane Teachers Credit Union has elected new board member Justin Botejue and re-elected incumbents Mike Rennaker, Dolores Humiston and Lisa McCann. Botejue works in the business development department at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Spokane and served the past year as an affiliate board member at STCU. Rennaker is the owner of Rennaker Financial LLC and has served on the STCU board since 2011. Chairwoman Humiston joined the board in 2009. Audit committee member McCann works in brand protection with Avaya and joined the STCU audit committee in 2017.

Education

Lance Kissler, associate vice president for strategic communications and marketing at Eastern Washington University, has been elected to the executive committee of the Public Relations Society of America’s Counselors to Higher Education.

Health

Cancer Care Northwest has selected Kim Brodie as its chief operations officer. She has more than 30 years of oncology nursing experience and leadership in academic and strategic planning and worked previously as the director of oncology services at MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane.

Law

Gravis Law PLLC has hired Jeffrey M. Heutmaker as an attorney. He has 31 years of experience practicing in corporation finance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property licensing and general business law. He founded HeutmakerLaw PC in 2004.

Winston & Cashatt has hired Dalton J. Reynolds as an associate attorney. His practice focuses on civil litigation, including real estate litigation, commercial and business litigation and bankruptcy. He previously worked as an extern clerk for Judge Rosanna M. Peterson of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Washington.

Piskel Yahne Kovarik PLLC of Spokane has promoted Whitny L. Norton to principal. She originally joined the law firm as an associate and has been recognized as a Rising Star in Super Lawyers Magazine the past three years. Norton’s practice focuses on business and real estate litigation as well as employment-related disputes.

Desautel Hege has promoted Linda Jones from senior art director to associate creative director and Jessica Wade from senior account director to vice president of account services. Jones has been an art designer for 16 years, including three years at Desautel Hege. Wade is a former board president at Spark Central and currently serves on the best practices committee for IPREX.

The Board of County Commissioners has appointed Ami Calvert to the Spokane County Library District’s Board of Trustees. She has spent 27 years in healthcare administration and holds a master’s degree in community health from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.

Honors

Palouse Capital Management Inc.’s small/mid-value strategy was recognized as a top performer in the one star U.S. Small-Mid Value Universe on the PSN Top Guns list for the quarterly period ending Dec. 31. The strategy ranked No. 1 nationally for the fourth quarter of 2019 in its peer group.

UPS has inducted 30 drivers from Washington state into the Circle of Honor, including Chris Chatfield of Spokane, Evan Hirschel of Greenacres and Charles Kienholz of Moses Lake. The honor recognizes UPS drivers who have achieved 25 or more years of accident-free driving.
