Spokane motorcyclist killed in crash near Rockford late Friday
A 41-year-old Spokane motorcyclist died late Friday after his bike left the roadway north of Rockford, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Keith R. Carpenter was traveling north on State Route 27 north of Rockford when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the roadway and rolled several times just before 9:30 p.m. Friday, according to a WSP news release.
Carpenter was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The helmet Carpenter was wearing was not certified by the U.S. Department of Transportation for motorcyclists, said WSP spokesman Trooper Jeff Sevigney.
