William contrives a plan for Chance to attend a Christmas party, posing as an old friend of his family, so Chance can spend time with William’s intended. Filmmaker Tommy Oliver’s music documentary “Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss” uses a cinema verite style to explore the life and all-too-short career of a Chicago-born rap prodigy, whose breakout hit “Lucid Dreams” put him on the fast track to stardom by age 18. Sadly, the young artist struggled to navigate his meteoric rise, aggravated by his drug use and mental health issues. He died of a drug overdose in a Chicago airport just days after his 21st birthday. (TVMA) 8 p.m. on HBO.
