The United States announced a six-point peace formula for Korea to be a unified country with the combined resources of the United Nations.
The plan considered the essentials for Korea’s future, following closely to proposals made by Britain and Canada.
In the proposal, the U.S. explicitly said it has no desire for special privileges from the country and wanted Korea’s admission into the U.N. Informants on the peace deal said the terms with the North Koreans are regarded as a “military decision.”
The major parts in the six-point plan included: Korea must be a free, independent and united country; the Korean people to be consulted must be chosen in a free election; strong emphasis should be placed on reconstruction; and no nation should be dominant in the settlement of the Korean problem.
A 4-year-old from Milton, Florida, was taken to the hospital reporting a sore nose and little appetite. The doctors operated and pulled an acorn out her nose.
When attendants looked closer, the acorn had grown sprouts.
